An emphasis is placed on “Lifestyle Training” which takes into account your activity level, family dynamic and personal preferences.

Our foundation, core and advanced programs are conducive to the natural development of your canine companion and take into consideration, not only breed generalities, but his unique personality as well. Each program is designed to provide positive experiences, maximum social opportunity and progression towards your dogs full potential.

Foundation: The Beginnings

Puppies purchased from us: 1 month $800.00 (boarding included)

All other puppies: 1 month $1000.00 (boarding included)

A proper beginning is paramount to your puppy’s wellbeing. Our foundation program provides everything your puppy will need so that he can develop a positive attitude towards training and a meaningful relationship with people and his environment. Early exposure to structured experiences determines how your puppy will relate and respond to training and his environment. Key features of the Foundation phase:

- Accept collar & leash
- Optimize learning through short repetitive training increments
- Reward system is introduced and reinforced
- Foster motivation to please and “learn how to learn”
- Develop name association
- Motivational Recall (come) and sit in front

Core Obedience: The Golden Rules

Young dogs purchased from us: 1 month $1200.00 (boarding included)

All other young dogs: 1 month $1500.00 (boarding included)

Core obedience teaches and reinforces the “Golden Rules” of obedience and canine behavior. It focuses on eliminating equivocation and establishing reliability. During this critical phase of training, your dog will learn that commands are to be obeyed with or without an immediate or visible reward. A continued emphasis is placed on relationship building throughout this phase. With frequent exposure to a variety of scenarios and consistent training, positive behaviors are reinforced and unwanted behaviors diminished. Key features of the Core program:

- For dogs 6 months of age and older. It is recommended that Foundation program be completed
- Introduction to the collar, leash and long-line as training tools.
- Expansion of training to 30 feet using long-line techniques.
- Off line Sit & Stay
- Off line Down & Stay
- Foster positive off line responses by structuring scenarios and reinforcing of wanted behaviors
- Walking on a loose line or in proximity of handler without pulling
- Automatic sit when handler stops walking
- Down on command from s distance

Advanced Obedience: Superior Pet Performance

European Dog Training offers advanced obedience training and coaching. This program pays close attention to detail and provides fine-tuning for dogs or teams interested in competing in high-level obedience events. For those who choose not to show in sport venues but simply want superior, flashy and exact obedience from their pets, this training should be considered. Please contact us for duration and pricing.

Exclusive Board & Train

This is the ultimate choice for those who want the best foundation for a puppy or young dog. The puppy will come to live in the home with our family socializing with children, other dogs and pets and experiencing all the challenges of home life. The sessions will include formal training as well as play and lifestyle training with regard to household rules, permitted behaviors and preferred responses. Do you want your dog to sleep only on his own bed? Will he be allowed on some pieces of furniture and not others, encouraged to greet visitors by sitting politely or allowed to jump up on you when you invite him? There is no right or wrong way to enjoy a dog: These are personal choices and your dog can be trained to do as you wish. All Foundation and Core phase features are included. An added emphasis on home and lifestyle preferences distinguishes this program from any other. Only one dog per month is accepted into this program, so please plan and make reservations in advance. Schutzhund and Practical Protection

There is a special comfort in knowing that you have an intelligent vigilant companion in your home that will not only alert you to possible intruders or other dangers, but can also present an imposing deterrent. These specially selected and trained dogs are guaranteed to be sound and trustworthy around your family and friends, but formidable guardians when called upon. German Shepherd Dogs, bred from top European working stock are available, as well as other breeds by special request. Let Marco select, import and train your dog and work with you exclusively to be sure you are confident and capable while handling him.

Skills can range from simply alert barking on command to searching and clearing a residence before entry, personal guarding during financial transactions such as bank deposits at ATMs to tactical engagement: Stopping and preventing a personal attack and detaining the assailant for police. These skills require highly qualified animals, but if you have a dog already and want to know his capabilities, Marco can do an assessment and advise you.

Schutzhund is a training regime developed in Europe to evaluate and test breed suitability. Schutzhund training by an experienced and accomplished trainer is an important element when developing a SAFE and RELIABLE practical protection dog. Marco is not only an seasoned expert in Schutzhund training, he has the experience and a long list of accomplishments qualifying him to select, train, transition and proof a true practical protection dog.
